Classes and Events

We put out a new class schedule every four months. Our classes are taught by local teachers who are knowledgable in their area of expertise.  We also bring in out of town teachers on a special event basis.  The best way to find out about these events is to sign up for our newsletters.  We post regularly to Facebook as well.

Class Notes

If you are interested in taking a class and are unable to attend, just find a friend or a group of friends and LSQW will schedule a time with the teacher so you may take the class. Please purchase all materials for your class ahead of time.  Due to copyright issues no sharing of patterns or books during class will be allowed.

Please arrive at class fifteen minutes early to allow time for setup.  Please do not arrive any earlier than this time!

Many classes require some prep work to be done before class. Arriving unprepared will prevent your class from proceeding smoothly. Please be sure to review the entire pattern/book before class.

BSS (basic sewing supplies) are required for most classes (scissors, pins, rulers, thread, et cetera). Double-check to make sure you have your foot pedal and cord for your machine.

As a courtesy to your fellow students please silence your cell phones or set them to vibrate. If you need to take a call during class, please step outside.

We ask that you refrain from wearing strong perfumes.
Join Charles and help him make some quilts for our local Books and a Blanket program. You only need to bring your sewing machine, basic sewing supplies, and your lunch. Bottle water and sodas are available for purchase. All of your materials will be furnished for you as you learn a new quilt pattern from Charles!

Let Norma show you how to turn any fabric panel into a Unique Quilt. How many times have you found a panel but asked yourself, "what do I do with it"? Most panels are small and beautiful but just not practical. The "Creative Panel Class" will teach you some new ideas for making a panel into a quilt that you can really use. Join Norma and she will teach you how to plan out, calculate fabric, and finish your quilt.
