Good morning to all. Hopefully you are opening this while drinking a steaming cup of coffe or tea; perhaps after a nice evening quilting? I apologize for the lateness of this newsletter. We just returned from our 2^nd LSQW retreat and I have gotten a little behind. We had 14 participants who sewed to their hearts content, ate great food, learned some current techniques, and met new friends. If you would like to join us our next retreat is scheduled for February 6,7,8, and 9^th in Eustace, TX at Greenbriar Creative Retreat Center. We will have 20 spaces available. Our bus to International Quilt Festival on October 31^st is full! So guess what? We got another bus! We already have 25 participants signed up for the second bus. Should you know of anyone wanting to go be sure and remind them to get their name on the list right away. The bus company has advised us there are no other buses available for that date. Remember this is an all day trip with your ticket, tip for the bus driver, lite breakfast, evening meal, some "goodies", and no parking woes included. You may call the shop for information or request an email detailing all of the information.

Our fall class schedule is available online.  Click on the Class Button in the main menu to view all of the classes we offer.  As you will see we have added knitting classes! We are already starting to see a few sales of yarn and much interest in the classes. Need a new hobby, or just something that is a little more portable than quilting? Come check out our beautiful yarns and knitting books. Consider taking a beginning class, felting class, or sock class and see what knitting is all about. Socks are hot this year and you can match them with a gorgeous batik skirt, vest, or blouse. Add a cute pair of shoes to show off your new socks and you will be the envy of all plus just darn cute.

We are cycling many of our samples back through the shop as finished quilts. If you hear of anyone looking for finished products please refer them to the shop. These quilts are reasonably priced and would make excellent gifts for weddings, new babies, birthdays, etc. They are all pieced, quilted, and bound and are looking for new homes!

New to the shop are three Featherweight machines that are also looking for a home. Two are the jet black color and one is the pretty white that is harder to find. All of them are in excellent condition with cases that are equally in good shape. Should you be looking for a Featherweight stop by the shop and we will be glad to show them to you. Don't forget we offer a Featherweight maintenance class to keep your machine in tip top shape.

Our fabric selection continues to grow. We have added an elegant line with a religious theme that has a panel and matching coordinates in silver and gold. Our reproduction line is expanding as well as our more eclectic fabrics that lend themselves to patterns using big pieces such as Yellow Brick Road. And our notions wall continues to expand. Treat yourself to a new ruler, you will be amazed at how the right ruler will make your cutting jobs go faster.

On sale this month are our shirting fabrics at 10% off. These work well for small background prints particularly in traditional design patterns. The sale does include fat quarters that will round out your stash nicely. Drop by the shop and check out what's happening! Terry
